At UVSS Catering and Conferences, we pride ourselves on offering event spaces and services for the best quality experience while supporting our students. All monies spent in the Student Union Building go back to the UVic Students’ Society to provide valuable services to University of Victoria students!
We are a one-stop shop – from event planning, to providing catering, room set-ups, décor, AV, and event staff/AV support. No need to contact 5 different companies to organize one event! If you need assistance or have a question at any point before or during your event, for anything big or small, don’t hesitate to give us a call – our staff are always nearby and ready to give you a hand. Working in conjunction with a local professional security company, you can rest assured that your Dry Grad will be well supervised and a safe environment for everyone.

Your booking includes room access to decorate starting as early as the morning of the day of your Dry Grad and lasting until the following morning.

If you book with us for your Dry Grad, you will gain access to three spacious rooms, a coffee and pizza counter, and hallway space in the main concourse of the building – all reserved just for you.
This 5000 square foot room with floor to ceiling windows can be divided into two separate rooms with a sound proof wall creating 2000 and 3000 square foot meeting rooms. Past Dry Grads have used the Michele Pujol Room (small) for photo booths, plasma car races, raffle tables, and event storage. The Michele Pujol Room (large) has been used as a casino as well as a laser tag arena.
The Upper Lounge is 2650 square feet and can be divided into 3 separate rooms, each with their own entrance. The larger main room has comfortable lounge seating and natural light. The Upper Lounge Boardroom is also included with your rental of the Upper Lounge. The main room and boardroom both have a built-in screen, projector and sound system included in the rental. Past Dry Grads have used the Upper Lounge for virtual reality, fortune telling, life-sized and board games, active games like ping pong and foosball, and as a quiet space. The Upper Lounge Boardroom has often been used as a changing room.
Vertigo is a 4385 square foot room suited for a variety of different events. Includes a stage and an open floor space. Features a range of causal seating options as well as booths. For previous Dry Grads, Vertigo has hosted Karaoke, DJs, bands, and a local hypnotist.
Past Dry Grads have used hallway space for vendors such as caricature artists and airbrush tattoo artists, as well as for carnival games and candy and popcorn stations.
A café by day, Bean There will transform into your own coffee and pizza counter by night, serving Ali Baba Pizzas hot directly from the oven, along with brewed coffee and a wide selection of teas.
Full in-house catering services are available when booking your Dry Grad. We are happy to provide snacks and beverages all night long. Choose from a selection of appetizers and snacks to suit both your personal tastes and budget.
