UVSS is the absolute BEST to work with! You can trust that they handle all the details of your event with care and professionalism regardless of whether it is a 20-person presentation or a 300-person full day event. It always feels like a very smooth and well established process. They can also easily flex and adapt when needed. As someone relatively new to hosting events at UVic, they were more than willing to make recommendations and fill in any knowledge gaps in the service structures available to round out my events (e.g., where to get printed posters and tack boards etc.). Will work with this team any chance I get!

We had our campus alumni kick-off event at the Cinecenta and ordered pizza through the UVSS. Thank you to Erika and her team who provided fantastic service with the ordering and set-up that even included plates, napkins, and serving utensils! We were also impressed that staff returned to take away empty pizza boxes to be properly recycled. Thank you for providing a wonderful customer experience!
UVSS did a wonderful job hosting and catering Bauco’s Christmas Party last Saturday! We were in the Michele Pujol Room which was very beautifully decorated, and the tables were set to perfection (they even had Christmas crackers!) Everyone raved about the buffet, which was delicious and had plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Erika and her team went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly! Thank you again for a great evening!
We hosted an event in January for 60 people in the Upper Lounge of the SUB and worked with Erika to get our catering and set-up requirements in order. We were pretty last minute, relative to booking at another venue, but everything was no trouble and went smoothly. Our guests loved the newly-renovated, bright and open space and the the venue was very affordable and included audio, projector and screen.
